FlyTape

FlyTape can be used anywhere on the horse’s body and is particularly effective when placed near open wounds, where flies are constantly keeping the wound open to harvest fluids and protein for their egg production. Mares who are lactating are also often bothered by aggressive flies. FlyTape can be placed close to the udder and genitals and catch the troublesome flies. Many horses are bothered by flies swarming around their lower legs. FlyTape can be placed to fit all the way around the leg and catch those irritating flies.

FlyTape is a very thin transparent film with a special non-toxic adhesive on both sides. FlyTape can be attached anywhere on the horse’s fur without causing any damage. The transparent FlyTape is great at ensuring that the flies land on it. This is because the horse’s natural hair colour shines through the tape and therefore it merges with the colour of the horse.

FlyTape’s dimensions are 54 cm long and 7 cm wide. This ensures an optimal level of flexibility when using it. It is long enough to reach around a horse’s leg and it can be cut to size as needed. There are five tapes in a pack.

On each side of the sheet there is a non-toxic adhesive which is covered by a protective paper. When using it, remove one of the protective paper sides and place it where you need to on the horse. Then remove the outer protective paper and you will start catching flies with it.

Once FlyTape has done its job, you can easily remove it without troubling the horse and you can dispose of it as regular household waste. It can be a good idea to buy products in bulk together with other people, allowing you to get discounts of either 15% or 30%.
